Seton Hall University, Rodino Law Library, Conceptual Design
Newark, New Jersey
This conceptual design for the Rodino Law Library at Seton Hall University in Newark, NJ was developed to prepare the facility for evolving library practices such as dramatic increases in digital volumes.
The design also adapts to the approaches of commercial café spaces, providing warm materials and soft seating, wireless Internet and abundant power access. The existing building grid and multi-story rotunda are used to mark the entryway, clearly separate student and staff zones, and enhance flow. The design also includes a renovated gallery space, a digital wall, and a computer lab.
